Tracy graduated from the
Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida with a
BFA degree in 1986. During the spring of 1988, she made her first
visit to Maui, leaving the crowds and heat of South Florida, where
she had lived for 28 years. Within a few days of her “vacation”,
she knew Maui would be her new home. Living on the north shore,
she explores the rugged landscapes with her paintbrush and mountain
bike.
Although known primarily
for watercolor portraits and large scale landscapes, Tracy also
works with acrylics and many forms of printmaking including handpulled
color lithographs, aquatint etching and monoprinting.
