still life
I have always enjoyed painting still lifes. I had a teacher in college that would give us 3 hours to complete a still life painting and I got hooked on the process of finding the cool, fun objects, setting them up and then painting away. Every object included in my still lifes have their own story. The wonderful old bottles that my dear friend Barb collected over the years and gave to me on my 40th  birthday, the incredible ming pottery that another friend had inherited and so many more. I know the pineapples are not what would be considered  traditional still life subjects but didn’t really know where else to put them…
